“The Governor’s admission today that tax increases are ‘inevitable’ is further proof that the reckless fiscal policies of the Richardson/Denish Administration have left our state bankrupt. Raising taxes on New Mexicans during a historic recession to subsidize the waste, fraud, and abuse taking place in the Roundhouse is completely unacceptable and totally inexcusable. As governor, I will reduce the size of government to provide an environment for small businesses to grow, eliminate programs that don’t work and clean up the fiscal mess Richardson/Denish have created.”
